Colin is the Director of Construction Operations Support (COS) at J.A.Roberts Co. He joined JARC in 2022 after several years of field experience as a surveyor, engineer, and superintendent. His deep understanding of both surveying and means and methods provides a valuable combination in serving our clients. As Director, Colin leads the COS department and oversees all the Engagement Managers. His specialized knowledge across many types of CADD software allows him to be hands-on with the work while remaining very engaging with clients. Colin’s focus is on providing great client experiences by being always accessible to clients and ensuring their needs are met. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Central Connecticut State University while working in the field as a surveyor. Prior to JARC, Colin worked for DeFoe Corp, Halmar International, and B&B Engineering. Colin holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoys golfing, snowboarding, playing piano, and being active outdoors with his family.

Dan started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2025 after extensive experience on both the general contractor and construction engineering sides of the industry. He brings a strong structural and marine background to the team having worked with some of the largest cranes in the heavy civil world. Dan’s construction engineering background compliments his field experience and allows him to properly vet some of the most innovative concepts during planning. As an Engagement Manager, Dan works closely with clients to identify project challenges and develop practical solutions. Dan received his B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering from San Jose State University. Prior to JARC, Dan worked for McNary Bergeron and American Bridge Co. He was the lead engineer for the Left Coast Lifter, a 2,000 ton sheerleg derrick that was used for heavy lifts on two multi-billion-dollar bridge projects on both the East and West coasts. He lives in the Denver area and enjoys being active outdoors with his wife and two kids.

Emily started with J.A.Roberts Co. in early 2025 and works on scopes across a wide range of operational disciplines including concrete work, steel modeling, cranes and rigging, rebar modeling, support of excavation, and earthwork. She is experienced with AutoCAD and Revit and has completed several 2D and 3D modeling scopes to check for clash detection, visualize various stages of work, and detail site layouts. During her time at JARC, Emily has been involved with notable projects such as the Gordie Howe International Bridge in Detroit, MI, the Pattullo Bridge in Vancouver, BC, and Walk Bridge Replacement Project in Norwalk, CT. Emily graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Physics and Astrophysics where she worked on a dual visible and infrared camera for NASA’s ESCAPADE mission. She enjoys attending live sporting events, comedy shows, and concerts.
Gayane started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2024 and works on scopes across a wide range of operational disciplines, including concrete work, cranes and rigging, girder erection, marine construction, rebar detailing, and support of excavation. She is experienced with Civil 3D and Revit and has completed several modeling scopes to vet design geometry, perform clash detection, and coordinate work across multiple disciplines. During her time at JARC, Gayane has been involved with notable projects such as the Gordie Howe International Bridge in Detroit, MI, the Pattullo Bridge in Vancouver, BC, and the I-40 French Broad River Bridge in Jefferson County, TN. Gayane graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Management and Engineering for Manufacturing, where she was also a Division I rower. Prior to joining JARC, she worked at Vail Ski Resort, operating snowcats. Gayane is an avid boxer and teaches classes in Brooklyn, NY.
Jen joined J.A.Roberts Co. in 2022 after 16 years of experience across both heavy civil and commercial construction. While working on the contractor side, Jen has field experience on various projects but also spent time in estimating. While she specializes in concrete and rebar, Jen is highly adaptable and excels at tackling unique scopes and client requests. She frequently contributes to modeling efforts for clients and is skilled at identifying clashes and geometric constraints during planning. As a Senior Associate with extensive CADD and construction knowledge, Jen is heavily involved with detailing and modeling, often completing scopes of high complexity, unique details, and constructability considerations. Jen received her B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College. Prior to JARC, she worked for Granite Construction on many high-profile projects including the WTC Transportation Hub, Queens Bored Tunnel, the Tappan Zee Bridge, and the Kosciusko Bridge. Outside of work, Jen is active with her family and coaches CYO basketball.

JJ started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2024 and works on scopes across a wide range of operational disciplines, including concrete work, cranes and rigging, excavation and backfill, paving, pump stations, and steel fabrication. She is experienced with Civil 3D and has completed several concrete, earthwork, and paving scopes involving modeling, TIN surfaces, and site grading. During her time at JARC, JJ has been involved with notable projects such as the Gordie Howe International Bridge in Detroit, MI, the NJTP Bridge Deck Reconstruction in New Brunswick, NJ and the Pleasure Bay Crossing and Main Pump Station Replacement in Monmouth Beach, NJ. JJ graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She enjoys experimenting with cooking and baking to create her own unique recipes.
Jordan founded J.A.Roberts Co. in 2020 to provide a support line for contractors facing challenges on complex construction projects. Through his experiences on various heavy-civil projects, Jordan experienced many of the same struggles that today’s projects still face. He learned that placing greater emphasis on vetting geometry and means and methods had a significant impact on the successful execution of operations. When work is visualized and simulated through the planning process, most problems faced in the field can be mitigated. Jordan is focused on ensuring JARC provides an exceptional experience to all its clients and continues to drive innovation within the company. Jordan is a graduate from the University at Buffalo where he majored in Civil Engineering and played club baseball. Prior to JARC, he worked for Granite Construction, Halmar International, Traylor Bros., and American Bridge Co. He is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, an avid skier, and enjoys wake surfing on Candlewood Lake in the summer.

Lance started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2024 and works on scopes across a wide range of operational disciplines including complex lift plans, cranes and rigging, girder erection, structural steel, and earthwork. He is experienced with Liebherr Crane Planner, LICCON Work Planner, and Autodesk products. He has completed several concrete/steel girder erection scopes to vet feasibility with on-hand inventory. During his time at JARC, Lance has been involved with notable projects such as I-35 Capital Express South in Austin, TX, the Pattullo Bridge in Vancouver, BC, and the WALK Bridge in Norwalk, CT. Lance graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and previously worked at ASML in Wilton, CT. He enjoys snowboarding in the winter and spending summers on Cape Cod.
Nick comes from the materials industry and joined J.A.Roberts Co. in 2023. His materials background gives him a unique perspective when developing solutions for challenging problems. With JARC, he has worked across a variety of disciplines including BIM, heavy civil work, marine work, commercial jobs, pump stations, and steel fabrication. As an Engagement Manager, Nick interacts with clients and leads complex scopes across many large projects. His experience in materials manufacturing has taught him the importance of utilizing a systemic approach to breakdown complex problems. The fast-paced, ever-changing nature of construction requires this high level of organization when developing solutions to problems. By being well-versed in numerous CADD software, Nick allows clients to visualize their work in meaningful ways ahead of field execution. Nick received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Alfred University and his M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Prior to JARC, Nick worked at CoorsTek. Nick lives in Salt Lake City with his family, plays rugby, and enjoys hiking, skiing and being outdoors.

He is experienced with AutoCAD and Civil3D and has completed several scopes to create surfaces for earthwork and bathymetry, vet design geometry, and coordinate work across multiple disciplines. During his time at JARC, Rocky has been involved with notable projects such as the I-40 Bridge over French Broad River in Jefferson County, TN, the WALK Bridge Program in Norwalk, CT, and the Gordie Howe International Bridge in Detroit, MI. Rocky graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where he earned Scholastic All-American honors playing D1-AA rugby. In his free time, he enjoys playing rugby, golfing, and working on cars.
Taylor started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2025 after working on the general contractor side of the industry for the first part of his career. He brings a strong background in heavy civil and bridge construction to the team, having worked on highway bridges, railroad bridges, and movable bridges, both for rehabilitation and new construction projects. His field experience has given him a keen eye for constructability when developing and reviewing construction plans, and allows him to incorporate innovative ideas into the planning of complex work operations. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering from the University of Michigan. Prior to JARC, Taylor worked for American Bridge Co. and CIANBRO Corp. where he played an integral role on various challenging bridge projects over major waterways. He is the recipient of the 2023 American Bridge Co. Henry Mykich Safety Award. Outside of work, Taylor enjoys playing various musical instruments and working on his 10-acre, rideable model railroad.
