Alexe joined J.A.Roberts Co. in 2023 after graduating from the University of Connecticut. He has worked on scopes covering a very broad range of areas ranging from structural steel to earthwork and grading.

Colin Dempsey is the Director of Construction Operations Support at J.A.Roberts Co. He joined JARC in 2022 after several years of field experience as a surveyor, engineer, and superintendent. His deep understanding of both surveying and means and methods provide a valuable combination in serving our clients. Colin typically has a hand in our client engagements, and at a minimum, he will oversee scopes to ensure value is always provided to the client. Prior to JARC, Colin worked for DeFoe Corp, Halmar International, and B&B Engineering.

Dan started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2025 after extensive experience on both the general contractor and construction engineering sides of the industry. He brings a strong structural and marine background to the team having worked with some of the largest cranes in the heavy civil world. Dan’s construction engineering background compliments his field experience and allows him to properly vet some of the most innovative concepts during planning. As an Engagement Manager, Dan works closely with clients to identify project challenges and develop practical solutions. Prior to JARC, Dan worked for McNary Bergeron and American Bridge Co.

Emily began her career with J.A.Roberts Co. in early 2025 after graduating from Northern Arizona University. She is proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with her work primarily focused on modeling scopes related to structures and utilities.

Gayane is a graduate from the University of Connecticut and started with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2024. She has experience with the full Autodesk suite and is typically involved in modeling scopes and clash detection.

Jen hired on with J.A.Roberts Co. in 2022 after 16 years of experience with Granite Construction. Her experience has encompassed numerous project types from bridges to tunnels to dams. Jen specializes in concrete and rebar but is great at diving into unique scopes and client requests. Jen will frequently be involved with modeling scopes for clients and is skilled at identifying clashes and geometric constraints during planning. With her extensive background, she brings great innovation and insights to the team.

In 2024, JJ hired on with J.A.Roberts Co. after completing her undergrad at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has a great understanding of Autodesk Civil 3D and typically works on scopes involving TIN surfaces for earthwork and paving operations.

Jordan founded J.A.Roberts Co. in 2020 to provide a support line for contractors facing challenges on complex construction projects. Through his experiences on various heavy-civil projects, Jordan experienced many of the same struggles that today’s projects still face. He learned that placing greater emphasis on vetting geometry and means and methods had a significant impact on the successful execution of operations. When work is visualized and simulated through the planning process, most problems faced in the field can be mitigated. Jordan is focused on ensuring JARC provides an exceptional experience to all its clients and continues to drive innovation within the company. Prior to JARC, Jordan worked for Granite Construction, Halmar International, Traylor Bros., and American Bridge Co.

Kaylee Buono joined J.A. Roberts Co. in 2025 after coming from the technology industry, where she gained valuable experience in sales and business development. She studied at Southern Connecticut State University and brings a strong background in client relations, interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking to the team.

Lance joined J.A.Roberts Co. in 2024 following experience in the mechanical field. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and specializes in scopes related to heavy lifting and structural steel.

Nick comes from the materials industry and joined J.A.Roberts Co. in 2023. His materials background gives him a unique perspective when developing solutions for challenging problems. With JARC, Nick has been involved with a variety of projects ranging from naval piers to concrete structures to bridges. He specializes in vetting complex geometry and means and methods. Nick will often be involved with scopes involving concrete and marine work but also has extensive experience in temporary works steel fabrication detailing and modeling. Prior to JARC, Nick worked at CoorsTek.

Paul joined J.A. Roberts Co. in 2023 as an intern and was hired full-time in 2024 after graduating from the University of Connecticut. He works on both front-end and back-end development, and is proficient in several programming languages, including Python and JavaScript.
